Assessment: Health Tests

Complete the assessment on page 35 (Accurate Home Health Test) in your text.  

Steps to follow: 

1. Report your answer for each question  ( 1 - 10  )  
2. After doing the assessment did you learn anything new about yourself? Elaborate on why or why not.

YOUR WORK SHOULD BE AT LEAST HALF A PAGE LONG!!!!

If you have never purchased or used an at home test, interview someone who has to complete the assignment.

If you don't have the book yet, I typed the 10 questions below.  ORDER the REQUIRED BOOK. 

• Has the expiration date expired? Yes or No
• Has the kit been exposed to extreme heat or cold?  Yes or No
• Are the directions for using the kit and chemicals clear to you?  Yes or No
• Have you read and do you understand the special precautions, if any?  Yes or No
• Did you follow the directions exactly as stated? Yes or No
• Did you time the test accurately and precisely as instructed?  Yes or No
• Do you understand what the test kit is intended to find? Yes or No
• Do you know what to do when you obtain the results, whether they are positive or negative?  Yes or NO
• Do you know whom to contact to follow up with the results of the test?  Yes or NO
• Do you know where to get help administering the test if you are unsure about the directions? Yes or No 

If you answered 8 or more of the questions with a positive response, your health kit test results should be accurate.  If you answered less than 8 with a positive response, you need to read directions more accurately and discuss the procedures with a medical professional.
