Submit Your Work to the Spring 2025 Issue of Suisun Valley Review!

The Suisun Valley Review (SVR) is now open for submissions, and we want to see your work!
Whether you're a first-time writer, an experienced artist, or somewhere in between, we welcome
your poetry, prose, short fiction, creative nonfiction, comics/graphic storytelling, and visual art—
including mixed media, photography, and 2D/3D artwork.

What is SVR?
SVR is Solano Community College’s award-winning literary magazine, a long-running tradition
founded in 1981 by Professor Emeritus Quinton Duval. Each year, our English 058 and 059
students curate, edit, and publish a collection of outstanding creative work from voices within
and beyond our community.

How to Submit
Our submission window closes March 31, 2025. You can submit your work through:

• Email: Send Word or PDF files to suisunvalleyreview@gmail.com
• Submittable <suisunvalleyreview.submittable.com>
• Mail: Suisun Valley Review, 4000 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield, CA 94534 (Include a self-addressed stamped envelope)

Submission Guidelines
• Prose & Fiction: Up to 3,500 words
• Poetry: Up to seven poems per submission
• Visual Art: Must be high-resolution (~300 ppi at 4x6 inches) in an uncompressed format
• No AI-Generated Work: All submissions must be original and created without the use of AI tools
• Cover Letter Required: Include your name, address, phone, email, and a short third person bio
• Solano College Students: Indicate your student status to be considered for the Quinton Duval Award in Creative Writing
• Simultaneous Submissions: Allowed, but notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere
• Expect a response by early May 2025

What Happens If You’re Selected?
Authors and artists with accepted work will receive two free copies of the magazine and an
invitation to share their work at our publication release event on May 8, 2025, at the Solano
College Library (Building 100).
