Chromebook Checkout Process
Welcome to Spring 2025! Please read the following important information regarding Chromebook checkouts.
Currently enrolled students can request a Chromebook for the semester while supplies last, so early requests are encouraged .
Chromebooks are in limited supply
How to Request a Chromebook
Please email studentcheckouts@solano.edu with:
- Student ID (SCCID)
- First and Last Name
- Personal Email Address
After verification, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to schedule a pickup.
Pickup Details
First Two Days of Semester: Visit the blue pop-up tent outside IT Shop (Room 110, Building 100, facing 1400). No appointment needed, .but requests must be submitted first
- Regular Pickup: IT Shop (Room 110 in the Library/LLRC). Two entrances (both have doorbells):
- Inside the library near the children’s books.
- Outside, facing 1400 near the white roll-up door.
Key Info
- IT Hours:
- First Two Days of the Semester: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Regular Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (excluding holidays).
- Returns: Chromebooks should be returned to the IT Shop at the semester’s end or when no longer needed.
- IT does not check out laptops or calculators. For specific program devices e.g., Digital Media Arts (DMA) and Computer Information Science (CIS), these areas have a limited number of checkout devices available to students in their courses, please inquire from your instructor and/or Dean.
- Act quickly, supplies are limited, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
