• Explain why smoking-related deaths are the most preventable causes of morbity in women in this country 
• Identify the substances in tobacco and the role each plays in the development of smoking-related diseases 
• Explain the importance of a smoke-free environment in the home, the workplace, and recreational facilities 
• Explain the interaction between caffeine and pregnancy 
• Discuss illegal drugs and their characteristics
