Objectives:  When you complete this chapter, you will be able to do the following:

• Explain the relationships between women, especially college women, and the use of alcohol 
• Describe the serious consequences that may result form the use of alcohol during pregnancy and the negative effects on the fetus and infant 
• Identify and describe the various types of alcohol
• Suggest guidelines that can be used by colleges and universities to reduce alcohol abuse among college women
